Are you interested in the work of the United Nations and international politics? Have you always wanted to slip into the role of a diplomat yourself? Then you’ve come to the right place! The United Nations Society Nuremberg e.V. offers a platform for all those who are interested in global events or want to become active themselves. With the adoption of the World Programme of Action for Youth (2010), the United Nations paved the way for active youth participation. UNSN e.V. supports young people in actively engaging with the UN system and getting involved with their concerns.

Our focus is on the three areas of political education, networking and Model United Nations. All past and current projects can be found on this website. Of course, you can also volunteer with us – you can find all the information you need under Get Involved!

We are a registered and recognized non-profit association from the Nuremberg / Erlangen region. UNSN e. V. was founded in 2012 to promote the core idea of international understanding and to arouse interest and curiosity in international political processes, discussions and decisions. The association places a special focus on the work of the United Nations. Our goal is to bring young people closer to the world of diplomacy, to create formats for exchange and to contribute with our projects to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Our projects and events are for UNSN members as well as for interested pupils, students and young professionals. We are involved in the following areas:

Networking, Model United Nations, Civic Education.

All three core areas have their own working groups, which deal with different topics and formats to promote the education of young people. In the area of political education, we organize a study trip to Berlin every year, which gives participants an insight into different political institutions. We also offer our members regular opportunities to participate in DGVN e. V. programs, as well as other lectures, workshops and events organized by us. The networking section organizes regular networking evenings, where external experts discuss current (political) topics. In addition, all our internal alumni events are also planned here. Our Model United Nations section includes the BayernMUN in Nuremberg, the independent project FAUMUN , as well as the MUN block seminar. In addition, we support regionally the project UN in the Classroom of the DGVN e. V. by offering regular workshops at schools.
