What: An inspiring 45-minute lecture followed by a Q&A with Corrine Tucker, founder of Let Them Learn: An Empowered Human Rights Hub, a start-up dedicated to women’s and children’s rights.

Corrine will explore how a human rights approach can be a powerful tool for empowerment – helping us move from feelings of helplessness toward meaningful action. By understanding our rights and those of the people around us, we gain the confidence and clarity to advocate for peace, justice, and dignity for ourselves and beyond.

Join us for a fresh perspective on what human rights really mean in everyday life and practical insights on channeling a rights-based approach into personal and collective change.

What: Interactive Climate Simulation held by FAU professor Beckmann (Chair for Corporate Sustainability Management). In real-time, our own scenarios can be displayed on how different political, economic and technological measures influence global warming – such as renewable energies, energy efficiency, CO2 prices, behavioural changes or land use measures affect the temperature path until 2100.

The simulation goes beyond the question of how to stop global warming below 2°C or even 1.5 °C and also addresses what additional social and economic benefits are associated with individual measures – as well as what possible losers or conflicts of goals there can be and how to „take on“ as many actors as possible.
